The Monthly Bethel Buzz – March 2020

February was an unusual month. We have had both extreme cold weather and wonderful warm weather. I am hoping that March will come in like a lion and bring warmth and springtime with it. March is such a busy month for the children. Not only are the seasons beginning to change but our children are making a transition into the next level of learning! There is so much excitement in the air this time of year!

The Monthly Bethel Buzz – February 2020

January has flown by and we are now into February. I hope everyone was pleased with their parent/teacher conferences that took place in January. We have so much enjoyed teaching and being with your children. It is an adventure every day! We will continue to provide the best education in a loving environment as we go through the rest of our school year.

With that being said, I would like to announce to our parents that our preschool will begin its enrollment for the 2020/2021 School year. The enrollment will begin February 1st and is open to our church and preschool families first. On February 20th it will open to the public. If you know any families looking for a preschool, please be sure to let them know about Bethel. This year we are offering a $10.00 discount on the registration fee if you register your child before March 2nd.

In the month of February we celebrate two holidays. The first being Valentine’s Day. After Christmas, this is the children’s most favorite holiday to celebrate. They love giving and receiving their valentines. Each child will be making a Valentine holder for a valentine exchanging which will take place during their class party. Please be on the lookout for additional information from your teacher pertaining to the details of your child’s party.

The second holiday we celebrate is Presidents’ Day. The preschool will be closed on Monday, February 17th in honor of this day. This is subject to change if the Richmond area experiences any inclement weather and the preschool needs to make up a day. Please keep your eyes open for any e-mails pertaining to snow days and make up days.

Our next Chick-Fil-A Night will be held on Wednesday February 19th at Chick-Fil-A in Westchester Commons. It is so nice to see both church families and the preschool families come together to help support our school. This is such an amazing fundraiser for our program, so let’s see if we can keep up the good work!  Come and show your support by having dinner at Chick-Fil-A. Remember to say you’re there for Spirit Night so Bethel can receive the credit and don’t forget to stop by and spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes.

I would like to thank all of you who have supported the preschool by purchasing books from Scholastics. By ordering books for your child not only are you encouraging learning and reading but you are earning free books for your teachers and their classrooms to be shared by all.  Because of your help, the preschool has earned 15 new books that are free to the school. Thank you for your support. Reading is one of the most rewarding gifts to a child. February Scholastic book orders will be due by February 25th.

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us. It is a privilege and an honor to help them grow into the young people they are to be. Have a warm and fun filled February!
